Inspiring LEGO Creativity - LEGO Ideas Book Giveaway

One of the many benefits of playing with LEGO bricks is the sheer VOLUME of creativity that abounds.

My children recently worked together to build a LEGO house.   They had a firepit, crib for the baby, toilet, and shower. The master suite was connected to the nursery.  Everything was carefully crafted.

They were COLLABORATING, PLANNING, and LEARNING.    It was a moment where I just stood back and listened - thankful for those colorful little bricks and the ENDLESS hours of enjoyment and creativity they bring.

Our favorite inspiration for LEGO creativity is  The Lego Ideas Book, which  we purchased just a few months ago to use in a LEGO class I taught at our homeschool co-op.

This book has been the SINGLE BEST LEGO INVESTMENT we have made.    It gets used almost daily, and is full of ideas for building just about anything you want.

This book is full of ideas - my son would say "500 ideas from lots of LEGO fans".     Give your LEGO lover this book and just watch their imaginations soar.

Sections Include:

  •  Planes, Trains & Automobiles
  • Town & Country
  • Out of This World
  • In Days of Old
  • A World of Adventure
  • Make & Keep

.... and more!

I just had to share this resource with my fellow LEGO lovers.

It's made a huge difference in the way my son and daughter play with LEGOS.

You can win a copy of The LEGO Ideas Book.

I have subscribed to your blog (which I would have done anyway! ;-) ) I've also followed you on Pinterest. I LOVE your Lego Board, and can't wait to go check the whole thing out!

As far as my lego lovers, I have 5 of them. My oldest one is more into the Lego games, but she does like to build with her younger siblings (although she'll deny it if asked! LOL) My other 4 often combine their Lego sets and have fun just making some off the wall things...super tall towers, houses with "secret" rooms, even planes and cars.

I would absolutely love this book, it would really pump their creative juices!

Both of my boys love LEGO, but my younger son (who has Asperger) is addicted. So much so I named my blog after LEGOs. I love you pinterest boards too!

Hi, I just started following you on Pinterest last night. You have so many great things pinned. My Lego loving son would LOVE his own copy of this book. We've had a copy from the library for at least six months. So far no one has put it on hold so we get to keep renewing it again and again and again.

My husband has loved Legos since he was young, and in the last year our son (5) has become his partner in Lego building and creating. It has been so much fun watching them plan and design together. In the last six months, my son has started branching out and becoming more and more independent in his constructs. The best part? Since Christmas my daughter (3) has shown a growing interest in Legos. We now have Lego building nights where the kids would rather build than have story time! :) The Lego Idea book would just add to the creative fun!! :D

Just last week I showed my 7yo lego lover that they have these books! We looked at several on Amazon and he was very excited. =) He'll sit and play with legos for hours, making all kinds up things up in his head!

My 6 year old LOVES legos. Not just the sets, mind you.... all legos. He loves to make up scenes with them and they really are all around our house. Thank you for the offer of the Lego book. I hope we win. My son would be thrilled!!!

My son is obsessed right now with Lego! His birthday is coming up and he asks numerous times a day if he's getting Luke Skywalker's Lego ship and if he can look at the Lego website. He would love this book!

We love that book!! We borrow it from our local library so much, it seems like we own it. My three lego lovers pour over the book, we would love to own one of our own.

I have 5 Lego lovers in our house. They range from ages 18 down to 4. A recent moment that made this mama's heart smile was when I noticed the house was very quiet and went to see what the smaller children were doing. I opened the playroom door to find the 18, 16, 14, 6 and 4 yr old all sitting together on the floor playing with legos.

Two years ago my then 5 year old son showed me a box of Lego's at a book store. I was hoping to hold off on this venture until he was a bit more responsible with his toys, so I took the box, shook it and said, "You don't want this, it's all broken!" To which he replied, mom, you have to put it together! At least I tried! Several months later he got a Pirate set from my sister in law for Christmas and thus began the journey! When I saw how well he followed the directions I gave in. He has several sets and 1 400 pc tub now. We looked at this book the other night at the book store, but he was more interested in getting another set of Lego's than a book about Lego's.
