Inspiring LEGO Creativity - LEGO Ideas Book Giveaway

One of the many benefits of playing with LEGO bricks is the sheer VOLUME of creativity that abounds.

My children recently worked together to build a LEGO house.   They had a firepit, crib for the baby, toilet, and shower. The master suite was connected to the nursery.  Everything was carefully crafted.

They were COLLABORATING, PLANNING, and LEARNING.    It was a moment where I just stood back and listened - thankful for those colorful little bricks and the ENDLESS hours of enjoyment and creativity they bring.

Our favorite inspiration for LEGO creativity is  The Lego Ideas Book, which  we purchased just a few months ago to use in a LEGO class I taught at our homeschool co-op.

This book has been the SINGLE BEST LEGO INVESTMENT we have made.    It gets used almost daily, and is full of ideas for building just about anything you want.

This book is full of ideas - my son would say "500 ideas from lots of LEGO fans".     Give your LEGO lover this book and just watch their imaginations soar.

Sections Include:

  •  Planes, Trains & Automobiles
  • Town & Country
  • Out of This World
  • In Days of Old
  • A World of Adventure
  • Make & Keep

.... and more!

I just had to share this resource with my fellow LEGO lovers.

It's made a huge difference in the way my son and daughter play with LEGOS.

You can win a copy of The LEGO Ideas Book.

My Lego lover has three under the bed storage totes and a few fishing tackle boxes for the specialty items. He loves his Legos. His favorite right now is the Ninjago collection.

My 5yo son builds something new with his Legos every day. Over the past year, I have watched his creativity and imagination really develop through lego-building.

I would live to win this book for a friend of mine. She has 7 children and they all LOVE Legos. They are always borrowing the Lego idea books from the library and it would be awesome if they could own their own copy.

My kids have all been HUGE lego enthusiasts! My son, who is twenty has a 30X20 ft room over his workshop for his lego collection! And now my youngest, age 9 is following in his footsteps. I would LOVE to win this for my children and grandchildren!

I am a military wife, Christian homeschooling Mother of 4 children. Before one of my husbands many deployments he gave our oldest son a box of legos. My son now 8 was 5 at the time. My husband explained that these Legos had been his as a child and our oldest son was to take very good care of them while Daddy was on this deployment. He did take VERY good care of them and this began what I call his "Lego obesession". My son relates history lessons through Legos to his 3 year old brother and has a train table with no trains, he builds lego worlds instead. Being a military family we move quite a bit. We are now on our third home in a little over 2 years and legos do NOT ever get packed. Our girls have taken to the Lego friends (although they still play second fiddle to our American Girls) but my son should have been named Zach like the 80's Lego commercial said, "Zach Zach, He's a Lego Maniac!"

We've had The Lego Idea book from the library and really enjoyed it -- we would love to own a copy! My boys have been really "into" legos for the past year or so -- mixing and matching mini figure pieces to make creative guys of various types seems to be one of their favorite activities. My daughter just got her first "Lego Friends" set for Christmas and is excited to get more into legos as well. She seems to be the "assemble the set as directed and then play with it" sort of a kid, rather than mixing and matching for lots of new things. :-)

My 6 year old loves his Legos! He loves to design and construct his own creations for hours...and sometimes forgets to come to meals because he's so engrossed with the Lego process. Thanks for the giveaway!

I have two lego guys in my house ages 6 and 8. We have checked this book out from the library at least a dozen times and would love to have a copy of our own. Legos have been a great tool for teaching history (we built the mausoleum from the 7 wonders of the ancient world), science and math. They are also very therapeutic for my son who tends to lose his temper easily - when he needs to cool off, he goes to the lego table.

I have 4 children; 20, 15, 8 and soon to be 7 this coming Sunday. They ALL love Lego's! Even my husband and I love Lego's! There is so much you can learn and do from playing with Lego's! My youngest is a girly girl and was so excited when she found out they had the Friend's Lego sets. She got a couple of Christmas and plays with them ALL the time. Love this giveaway!
