Inspiring LEGO Creativity - LEGO Ideas Book Giveaway

One of the many benefits of playing with LEGO bricks is the sheer VOLUME of creativity that abounds.

My children recently worked together to build a LEGO house.   They had a firepit, crib for the baby, toilet, and shower. The master suite was connected to the nursery.  Everything was carefully crafted.

They were COLLABORATING, PLANNING, and LEARNING.    It was a moment where I just stood back and listened - thankful for those colorful little bricks and the ENDLESS hours of enjoyment and creativity they bring.

Our favorite inspiration for LEGO creativity is  The Lego Ideas Book, which  we purchased just a few months ago to use in a LEGO class I taught at our homeschool co-op.

This book has been the SINGLE BEST LEGO INVESTMENT we have made.    It gets used almost daily, and is full of ideas for building just about anything you want.

This book is full of ideas - my son would say "500 ideas from lots of LEGO fans".     Give your LEGO lover this book and just watch their imaginations soar.

Sections Include:

  •  Planes, Trains & Automobiles
  • Town & Country
  • Out of This World
  • In Days of Old
  • A World of Adventure
  • Make & Keep

.... and more!

I just had to share this resource with my fellow LEGO lovers.

It's made a huge difference in the way my son and daughter play with LEGOS.

You can win a copy of The LEGO Ideas Book.

Oh my goodness! I have three enormous lego fans: Annabelle-8, Jeb-6, and Henry-4. I love for my kids to play with Legos for all the same reasons you do and I love how the Lego company has made sure to include so many ages in their products. I took my boys to the Lego store this past weekend to let them spend the money they had been specifically saving for Legos and literally begged for one of them to buy this book. Even though neither of them did, they did walk away with some awesome sets. My boys get the Lego Club, jr. Magazine and the Lego Club magazine. The magazines encourage them to read like nothing else. Did you know there is a Lego Friends magazine being tested out in other countries right now? My daughter can't wait until it makes its way to the U.S. Finally, and I am sure you know this, but others reading may not know, there are short Lego movies on YouTube that all three of my children love!

My three kiddos (9,7&2) LOVE LEGOS and they do much better with building from ideas than from specific directions. My Pinterest ID is MalawiMomma.

My LEGO lovers will build and build and build. My daughter recently created a bank, including tellers and the armored car to carry the money. My sons just built two forts and transportation for their knights, dearth fader and race car drivers. My five month old daughter doesn't build yet, but loves to watch her siblings.

We have become a major Lego enthusiast family of two boys :7 and 12 , and two girls 5 and 9... They all LOVE legos!
Our home school group puts on a Fine Arts night annually, and this year, my just turned 12 year old entered his first Stop Motion lego film, it was a big hit.
They all have the bug and Legos are a wonderful and big part of our lives :-)... and really their preferred toy, THe Lego Friends sets are great so the girls can have something of her own, that the boys won't take to build their creations :-)
