Win a Breville Juicer!

No spend January is going VERY well in our home. I'm happy to report we've stayed "on the wagon". We haven't eaten out, bought any incidentals, and have been very cognizant of our spending in general.

I love what my husband said (when I suggested February might be a better month for the challenge): "Mary, there NEVER is a good month for a no spend challenge. We just need to DO IT."

Since that time, there have been a handful of signs that let me know we are doing the right thing.

One of them came from my friend, Carlie, last week.

Carlie, of Today's Frugal Mom, talked with me about helping in the launch of her new site. I was excited because her site is EXACTLY the kind of tool that helps in a no spend month.

It's about SO MUCH MORE than saving money - it's a lifestyle.  Even if you have more than enough to get by, I believe we are CALLED to be good stewards of what we have, and share our resources.

"And while over-indulgence destroys the virtues, frugality destroys the stronghold of vice."

- St. Neilos

I want my children to learn NOW - while their habits are forming - that frugality is a wonderful way to live. No matter what your current financial status, practicing frugality is important.

Today's Frugal Mom™ Website Launch

In celebration of the launch of Today's Frugal Mom™, my friend Carlie Kercheval and several of her blogging friends are giving away a Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain! One blessed person will win one of these phenomenal juicers to start the new year off right!

Today's Frugal Mom™ was created as a way for a 4th generation frugal-living mother to share her knowledge and know-how of the debt-free, frugal-living lifestyle. Carlie will share what she knows to help you as you pursue to make the most of your hard earned money. You can expect to see practical tips on how to save on groceries, amazing daily deals, frugal-living tips learned from both of her great-grandma's, and so much more. It is her hope that through this website she can help countless others gain a new perspective that will help other families achieve financial freedom and pad their savings account.

I've been wanting to try juicing ever since I saw "Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead". I'm not sick or fat but could use more energy.

I blend smoothies now and would love to juice as well.

I'd love to win this juicer for my daughter, actually. She's away at college, a vegetarian and loves juicing. She's not able to do it at school. So, my win would serve as a love gift to invest in my daughter'a health and passion.

I am on a quest to become healthier. I had a clinical stroke about 2 years ago at the age of 50 and have been working on my health ever since. Currently, I am coming off of sugar and bad carbs and this would be a huge help to me and to my husband who has joined me on my quest.

I've been wanting a juicer for a while! With all the produce we get in from the co-op, it would be a good way to help us use up some things we have a hard time eating before they waste (like carrots, we're not big on carrots, but I could turn them into juice like V8 or those Apple & Eve fruitables and we could use them up easier. No waste is very frugal, right? =)

I would love this. Our juicer is old and doesn't leave a lot of nutrients in the juice. This would be a huge blessing .

I really want to get more fruits and vegetables in our family's diet and I think juicing would be a great way.

January 13, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterSheila C

I would love to try healthier options by juicing my own fruits and vegetables instead of buying store bought juice.

January 13, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterKristie

I'd love to win the juicer! It would be a better use food items that are sometimes hard to add to a meal, into juice for a few of the kids that are more picky.
