Win a Breville Juicer!

No spend January is going VERY well in our home. I'm happy to report we've stayed "on the wagon". We haven't eaten out, bought any incidentals, and have been very cognizant of our spending in general.

I love what my husband said (when I suggested February might be a better month for the challenge): "Mary, there NEVER is a good month for a no spend challenge. We just need to DO IT."

Since that time, there have been a handful of signs that let me know we are doing the right thing.

One of them came from my friend, Carlie, last week.

Carlie, of Today's Frugal Mom, talked with me about helping in the launch of her new site. I was excited because her site is EXACTLY the kind of tool that helps in a no spend month.

It's about SO MUCH MORE than saving money - it's a lifestyle.  Even if you have more than enough to get by, I believe we are CALLED to be good stewards of what we have, and share our resources.

"And while over-indulgence destroys the virtues, frugality destroys the stronghold of vice."

- St. Neilos

I want my children to learn NOW - while their habits are forming - that frugality is a wonderful way to live. No matter what your current financial status, practicing frugality is important.

Today's Frugal Mom™ Website Launch

In celebration of the launch of Today's Frugal Mom™, my friend Carlie Kercheval and several of her blogging friends are giving away a Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain! One blessed person will win one of these phenomenal juicers to start the new year off right!

Today's Frugal Mom™ was created as a way for a 4th generation frugal-living mother to share her knowledge and know-how of the debt-free, frugal-living lifestyle. Carlie will share what she knows to help you as you pursue to make the most of your hard earned money. You can expect to see practical tips on how to save on groceries, amazing daily deals, frugal-living tips learned from both of her great-grandma's, and so much more. It is her hope that through this website she can help countless others gain a new perspective that will help other families achieve financial freedom and pad their savings account.

I would love to make vegetable juices for myself and my little ones. We don't have a juicer buying carrot or other vegetable juices at the store is so expensive.

I'd love one for our family, anything juice related from the store is unhealthy or too expensive.

My kids love smoothies and milkshakes. We're currently using our handy dandy blender for them. A juicer would be a big help since I'm wearing out the motor in our blender.

This would be a great way to get more nutrients into my little one. He hates the texture of some veggies.
