My LEGO Gift to You
This post is for the oodles of moms out there dealing with LEGO crazed kids.
I am one of those moms, and when my little boy asked me to teach a LEGO class at our homeschool co-op, how could I refuse?
My son and I spent a lot of time brainstorming and planning this class TOGETHER, and I wanted to share my plans with you. I am also THRILLED to be offering one of our favorite resources from the class to you in a giveaway!
A little about the class (then you can download the plans and enter the giveaway!)
We had a "Speed Build" each week
We played games
We had "Theme Weeks" (like Minifig Week and Interlocking Brick Technique Week)
How lucky I am to have a little boy. Without him I would never have entered this fun and creative LEGO world!
Everything you just saw is available in this free download. {You MUST get this if you have a LEGO lover in your house!}

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful resource! We have 4 Lego focused children, and I have found them building furniture and appliances for their minifigs. They've built cars with all sorts of weapons to battle each other in the wars they wage against each other, and hospitals to help the soldiers!
My boys 8 and 6 love to create any and every thing - they've been Lego players since my eldest was 2!!!!
The most creative thing that my son made (that I liked the best) was his own nativity scene. He would probably have a different opinion though. Something more...boyish :)
My boys would love watching that. Anything with a good story is a plus!
My boys would love watching that. Anything with a good story is a plus! Lately my youngest is into building houses and cars. His latest is the "sit car". Fun to see their imaginations working.
My son makes *everything* out of Legos. My personal favorite is when he set up a combination Final Battle scene - Star Wars, Narnia and Lord of the Rings - it was crazy! But it worked! (and this was before they had started making the LOTR stuff - and we had just a few parts from some of the Star Wars figures, nothing else - so he had to truly create this from nothing! He was 6 at the time.
Thank you for the Lego plans! We'd love to win this exciting movie!
This is such a great idea! As a mother of boys, and a mom involved in a co-op, thank-you for sharing this!!
Thank you for this....I'm going to head to my co-op sign up right after this post. What a wonderful idea!

I don't know what happened to my comment (if this is a duplicate, just delete it:), but my boys would love to win a copy of this. They all still enjoy Legos and one is really getting into stop motion animation. Thanks so much!
My 6 year old has built a monster truck that flew!
We have three girls and they all love legos. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for the free plans. My 5 and 4 year old have recently become hooked on Legos. We're also homechoolers so this class would be a fun addition to our curriculum.
I had a question with this class... How many students would you recommend as the "max" capacity, w/the recommended 1 large box of bricks? (plus the cup for each child). Thank you :)
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful resource. I'm a co-op director looking for a cost effective way to offer a lego class next year. THANK YOU!!
I am teaching my first Lego co-op class this fall and love this post!! Thanks for all the free info. Question for you- when I go to the Lego store how do I know what to put into the pick a bucket? I went online and was overwhelmed with the choices! Thank you!!
This is awesome! My daughter will love it! Now to see who else I can con into coming!
When you mention the pick a brick buckets, which legos did you pick?
I love this! I'm using many of your ideas with my 4 LEGO crazed homeschoolers. Thanks for sharing your hard work and creativity. This resource is fantastic!
