What Makes You Happy?

Rain, Rain, Go Away ~
Come Again Some Other Day!

It's one of those dreary, lazy days. I have a day full of piano students coming in and out of the house, and (thanks to Miss B) I have a pretty flowerpot full of colored pencils on my piano. You wouldn't think pencils could change the atmosphere so dramatically, but they HAVE. When I write a comment on someone's music using SLUMBERLAND PURPLE or DRAGON GREEN it just makes us happy. Having happy, lovely things around just changes my mood, how about you?

Oh, and the picture in the background REALLY makes me happy - it's from GMan's three year old preschool class. They dressed all the children up like angels and gave us the pictures for Mother's Day. Talk about a tear jerker. No matter how I am feeling, looking at these pictures always makes me smile.

Leave me a comment and let me know what's lovely in your house that makes you happy.

Have a wonderful weekend!

My Colored Pens make me happy. Not sure if they count as 'in my house'- they are in my purse and kept in a open holder arranged by color (according to the rainbow).I use different colors for different things (esp when writing in my planner)
Pretty things in my house- A framed photo. A close up of a purple flower. Close enough that you only see half the flower and you can see the yellow pollen on the purple flower center and on some of the petals.

I just finished scrubbing my sink and surrounding counters in the kitchen - ahhh, I can relax now. Dirty dishes drive me crazy and make me not want to cook. Now when dinner rolls around I'll be happy to cook.

My Flair pens, any color but red or black. And also the piano in my front room. I miss sitting and playing it, but it is soooo pretty to look at, for now.

My Grandma Langer's crocheted Angel tree topper. It makes me so happy that when it has completed it's job as tree topper at Christmas I continue to display it in a prominant spot in the dining room year round!

Actually, a clean kitchen makes me happy. :) Just walking into a nice sparkly kitchen is good enough for me. A few candles can do the trick, too, though :)
God Bless!
