Learn About Martin Luther: Resources and Free Copywork
Reformation Day is Friday, October 31.
This marks the day in 1517 that German monk, Martin Luthe,r posted his 95 Theses on the door of All Saints' Church (also known as the "Castle Church") in Wittenberg, sparking the Protestant Reformation.
Since we are Lutheran, we celebrate the Reformation on the Sunday before October 31. We wear red, sing A Mighty Fortress is Our God, and (in typical Lutheran fashion) - have a potluck!
It is important, however, that our children understand the significance of this event in church history - and how it changed the way so many people viewed the church.
