Follow Me To Ecuador with Operation Christmas Child
The day has finally arrived.
Ecuador, here I come!
Our team will be distributing boxes in schools, churches, and orphanages in and around Quito, Ecuador.
In my mind I think I know what this will look like, but in reality I just know I am expecting hugs, smiles, blessings, and many mixed emotions.
This week, the rubber band bracelets have been flooding in from all over the country! Each time a package arrives on my front steps and I see the HUNDREDS of bracelets children have been making for the children in Ecuador, my tears start flowing.
The GOODNESS of children is such a blessing.
Learn About Ecuador With Your Children
If you want to follow along with me, get your children involved and learn about Ecuador!
Ecuador is on Eastern Standard Time and uses the US Dollar. It's about a 4 1/2 hour plane ride from Miami to Quito.
Right now it's the rainy season in Quito, with average temperatures being in the 60s and 70s.
Situated in the Andes Mountains, Quito is one of the highest capital cities in the world (it's 2 miles above sea level) and is about 25 miles south of the equator.

Follow My Trip
Operation Christmas Child does such amazing work all around the globe, and I am honored to play a small role in delivering shoeboxes and spreading the love of Christ this Christmas season on their behalf.
Follow along with me!
You can also subscribe to my blog to read all about my journey, as well.
I covet your prayers for safe travel, grace, and peace for all who will distribute boxes. Pray also for the hearts of children to be opened to the love of Christ through these boxes.
God is good - all time time!

Can't wait to follow along with your trip! What an awesome adventure!
I emailed you about volunteering at SP in Charlotte yesterday. The boxes were going to Zimbabwe and Ecuador! I'm following on Twitter now. Can't wait to hear all about your trip.
Seriously Mary- you rock! Awesome work you are all doing!
We'll be following along, and praying! Godspeed, Mary<3
We will be following you. We will do a little unit on Ecuador while we follow you.
We'll be following your trip. I hadn't planned a unit on Ecuador but this would be the perfect way to do one that would bring it "home" to my children who wish that they could help everyone in the world. Who knows, perhaps your trip will inspire my son (who wishes to become a Priest) to spend some time there in the future as right now he's only planning on the USA, the Vatican, and Japan/China.
Praying!
