Resolving to Use Pinterest - 3 Favorite Pins

Happy 2013!

We rang in the new year with friends.   The adults enjoyed fellowship and good food, while the children enjoyed time together, making funny videos, playing BINGO, and just being silly.    It was a good start to the year.

I've told myself in 2013 I'm actually going to USE many of the projects I've pinned to my Pinterest boards.

In the late night hours I pin many things and have many grand intentions.  In 2012 I didn't follow through on quite as many pins as I would have liked.

When used in moderation, Pinterest can make us more creative, fun, and enhance our homeschool in limitless ways!

Here are three fun Pinterest activites I used:

Happy New Year Clock

This was EASY to make and very effective.   I imagine you could use it for many things.  One thing that pops into mind is setting the clock to the time of your child's birth and using this as a fun birthday cake!

Printable New Year's Banner

While this is on my fireplace now for New Year's, I noticed the site I pinned it from has printables for all holidays.  I envision changing the banner for the seasons.  Fun!

Ham & Cheese Sliders

We have made this one several times, and Anna requested it for New Year's Eve.   It's not great for the waistline, but it's oh so yummy!

Over the holiday I've been organizing my Pinterest Boards.   Here are some you might like:

My favorite Pinterest board is the LEGO Activities board -- it's full of crazy good ideas!

Come visit with me on Pinterest.

Let's resolve to actually DO WHAT WE PIN this year!

Do you have a favorite projoect/recipe/activity from Pinterest?

What is it?

Great resolution, Mary! :) I do use many of the things I pin, but there are MANY more I need to look back through and be re-inspired by.

Thanks for adding these links to your PINTEREST boards! I too pin...and it seems the only ones I use are for cooking! LOL! I do love it though and have gotten great ideas to "save" for later!

Thanks, Mary. I recently went through and deleted some of my boards that I knew I would never use--just to take the pressure off myself ;-) We did make some cookies this Christmas from recipes I pinned and some crafts...I am hoping to do more in 2013. I am off to check your Story of the World board!

I want to make the giant office calendar that uses paint chips behind a glass frame, and dry erase markers to write the numbers. But I'm like you, Mary -- I "pin away" and forget to actually try anything (except the food -- I always try the food, which is why we started going to the gym this month!).
