Curriculum Reviews and Notebooking Success Winner!
Getting Started With Notebooking was such an informative post last week from Jimmie, at The Notebooking Fairy. I hope you had a chance to read and take notes!
Better yet, one lucky person (commenter #16, Shifra) won a copy of Jimmie's ebook, Notebooking Success! {#16, I am sending you an email today, but if you see this first, feel free to contact me via the contact form on my site!}
If you are wanting more hands on work in your homeschool, with increased retention and a finished product, I would advise you look into notebooking. And, you are like me, and already notebook with your kids, this post spurred you on to do MORE.
Speaking of what you are doing next year, I wanted to also point you to a Carnival of Curriculum reviews.
I am an author at The Curriculum Choice, and today many authors on the site are sharing their favorite homeschool curriculum reviews. It's a valuable place for sound curricular advice.
While I believe in a very SIMPLE approach to our homeschool, there are several resources that we use each year that I couldn't live without. It's always good to know what another mom thinks of that math program you were thinking about, or that spelling program that seems so popular.
I hope you're taking some time this summer for teacher planning. If you're like me, it's been (and will continue to be) a busy summer, but I'm trying to sneak moments here and there to get my ducks in a row for the coming year.
Blessings for a fun and productive week!

I loved the ebook "Notebooking Success". I'm fairly new to notebooking and Jimmie's ebook sparked an excitement for incorporating it into our homeschool. I clearly see the benefits. My goal is to purchase a binding machine so our notebooks actually evolve into personal portfolios.
