Trying to Expand

I'm on a mission to expand my blog - as I blog each day and have been teaching my children, and also as I prepare to teach a music class for our co-op, I thought I could really help people by providing ideas and resources for teaching music to their children. Please visit my new page, "Music Education Resources" to see what I keep on my shelves (or on my iPod) at home! These are all classroom tested (and tested with my own kids) over time and have seemed to be what "sticks". Hope you enjoy!

Hi Mary, I have a nascent series called Stories in Tune - about picture books that introduce different pieces of music - http://www.playingbythebook.net/category/stories-in-tune/
If you have any particular favourites when it comes to picture books retelling stories from music I'd love to hear about them.

Zoe, thank you for sharing that with me. I have several!! I enjoy your blog very much. I will keep you updated as we do our stories!
