Collage Friday - The Week of the Only Child

I wouldn't trade homeschooling for anything, but I have to admit that having my children with me all day every day is sometimes taxing.

When they were younger it wasn't quite as hard as it has been recently. Having a preteen in the house is at times difficult. Mood swings, a developing sense of independence, and all that this age entails is challenging. I would be lying if I told you it was easy.

Collage Friday - Try Not To Destroy Their Imagination

It's been an exciting and boring week all at the same time!

For me, I've been working on the 5 Days of Music Appreciation and also the launch of SQUILT Volume 1.  It's been BUSY.

The kids haven't had much on their schedules this week (next week will be very busy for both of them, so I wanted them to lay low this week). I've been so pleased with how they have chosen to spend their time and how relaxed our week actually has been.

 I haven't heard "I'm Bored!" once this summer.

Collage Friday - The Week of Practicum

This week was a blur.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were spent at the Practicum for Classical Conversations. I am unable to put into words everything I have learned. I need more time to digest everything.

I can tell you, however, that I am SO excited for the upcoming school year, and my children are, too. 

I believe Classical Conversations is going to be a very good fit for our family.
