First Week of Foundations - Collage Friday

 

These first weeks of school have been a huge learning curve for us.

Our relaxed, interest led days are being replaced with more structure and schedule.

I am so thankful, however, that we still have freedom to explore our interests.

Classical Conversations is such an amazing program for homeschoolers. Our first week of Foundations at home has been a joy. We have been doing daily memory work, and then supplementing as we choose in other areas of the curriculum.

Hitting Our Stride and a Field Trip - Collage Friday

 

Next week will be the beginning of our new school schedule.

The decision to join Classical Conversations has given me a peace I didn't anticipate. I knew we were ready for a change, but just how ready I didn't realize until the past couple of weeks.

A good friend of mine pointed out to me that my writing is "less searching, more settled and comfortable."

I think she knows me very well.

Collage Friday - From the Mountains

It's been a very relaxing week.

This is a much needed week before we start school in about 10 days.

We spent our time in the Applachian Mountains visiting family. It was the kind of vacation where you lose track of what day it is and only keep track of time by when you eat your meals. 

I love that.
