I am a classic over achiever. Add to this the fact that I'm also Type A, and you can imagine that sometimes I can't keep up the pace of everything I WANT to do.
This past week I've had several things happen that have all served to show me I need to lighten up on myself, others, and just set the bar much LOWER in general.
Writing this post is therapeutic and a bit painful, too.

I cannot ask for more than my children to be active seekers of knowledge. Self-education is the best form of education.
If you ever get a chance to see The Titanic exhibit, take advantage of the opportunity!
Our field trip was the perfect way for my daughter to wrap up a self-created unit study.
I took my daughter and a good friend of hers as a belated 11th birthday celebration. Anna has had an obsession with all things Titanic for several months. How perfect that her friend was also very interested in this very subject!

We have successfully completed our first week back to school! It never ceases to amaze me how much my children crave a routine!
Our summer had been VERY relaxed, and this week it was back to getting up early (well, 7:30 for the kids and 6:00 for me) and accomplishing most everything by lunchtime.
