History Notebook Part 2: CC Cycle 3 Weeks 13-24

 

As we near the end of our first 12 weeks of Cycle 3, I am still KEEPING IT SIMPLE.

The memory work is enough.

Make sure the grammar pieces are being memorized and provide a few low stress ways for my child to expand upon the memory work if we have time.  That's my plan and I LOVE IT!

Read TONS of good books. No matter what, we MUST read (or listen to on audio) books!

Let Your Kids Pack Operation Christmas Child Boxes

 

Without a doubt, Operation Christmas Child is our children's favorite service project. 

It is such a simple, meaningful project for this time of year - and its impacts are ETERNAL.

My daughter, Anna, first started packing boxes when she was in preschool - with her Sunday School class. As the years went on, we packed them as a family, and last year I had the great joy of traveling to Ecuador to deliver boxes.

Hands On, Field Trip, and Fine Arts Learning 


 It's been quite the busy week. While I work on this edition of Collage Friday feeling QUITE worn out, I'm happy with everything we learned and accomplished this week!

Truth be told, we've had a lot of book work and stay at home studies this semester. I'm learning, as the year progresses, how to adjust work loads and how to manage time better so we can take more field trips and spend more time on things like music and art. 

This week was well balanced - so I deem it a success!
