More Middle Grades Fiction - Giveaway From Tommy Nelson

Earlier this summer I shared some of our favorite Christian fiction for middle grades from Tommy Nelson.

I am blessed to have one HUGE reader in my house (the other child would rather build LEGOS and play baseball).

Today I'd like to offer a peek at a new book - from the Swipe series.

Storm is the third book in the series. My daughter gets so excited when these books arrive in the mail! She devoured this book in two days, and is re-reading the others in the series right now.

I would classify this series as Christian dystopian fiction. I KNOW when a book is published by Tommy Nelson that I can let my children read it without reservation. That's a GOOD feeling.

You can watch the book trailer:

You can also take a peek inside the book if you want to see exactly what it is like.

I don't know about you, but my daughter loves reading book series. She has them all lined up on her bookshelf and often re-reads the other books in the series when she gets a new book. I'm not sure of the appeal, because I'm not much of a series reader - but she loves them!

As a Tommy Nelson Mommy I am happy to provide a copy for giveaway to one lucky reader.

To enter, simply leave me a comment telling me if your children enjoy reading book series - and if they do - what has been a favorite series?

This giveaway will end July 7, 2013 at midnight.

*I was given this resource as a part of the Tommy Mommy program in exchange for my honest review. No other compensation was received

My youngest, who will be in 6th grade this fall, doesn't love to read yet, but he's coming around. This summer he's been reading the "How to Train Your Dragon" series. I love reading series myself and usually read anything before my kids do.

My kids love to read, one more than the other. Percy Jackson is a big favorite for both of them!

My oldest is going into 7th grade. Sounds like a neat series to check out.

Amber LOVES series books. She is actually more interested in series than single books. To her, she gets involved with the characters and doesn't want to leave them or the world of that series. She is mostly interested in fantasy books. She has a hard time picking favorites, right now her favorites are Sisters Grimm, Fablehaven or Faerie Path. But ask her again next week when she's started another series and the answer may change.

We've liked Michael Vey, Fablehaven, dragon Slippers, Kronos Chronicles, and have now started the Swipe series, thanks to your posts.

My eleven year old LOVES to read! He reads at an 8th grade level (he's in 5th) and it is hard for me to find books that he likes without a bunch of sex and violence. He has read the entire lemony snicket, Harry Potter, and 39 Clues series. He has also read all of Rick Riordans books for kids. I think his favorite series so far is the 39 Clues series. I would love to win this for him. Even if I don't, I am going on amazon right now to buy the first Swipe book! Thanks for the reccomendation!

Both my children are readers, for which I am very grateful! The current favorite series are Narnia, 39 Clues, and Hobbit/LOTR. Not only do they read on their own, but there is usually a book on CD as we travel around town. We would love to experience this series you have offered. Thank you!

DD10 loves series. She read the Boxcar children, Magic Tree house, Hank the Cowdog, How to Train a Dog, the Guardians of Ga'hoole, Imagination STation, American Girls and so many more. Right now she is reading Dragonology, 39 clues, Vikings Quest. She would love to start a new one!! :)

My daughter loves to read series and I am always relieved to find a new one to start because she is so picky in her choices! :) So far she has loved the Magic School Bus chapter books, Hank the Cowdog, Narnia, and any of Donita Paul's dragon books. I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones we have read / reread lately. This series sounds interesting! Thanks for the chance to win.

My 13 year old son is FINALLY getting into reading. I'm still waiting for the magic to envelop his 11 year old brother :-) I just checked out this series for the first time after reading your blog. I think my new eager reader would very much enjoy this series. From the preview I read, I think he would identify with the characters. I found Swipe in the local library system, but not the complete series.
