10 Best Gifts for LEGO Lovers

A Christmas gift of LEGO bricks is guaranteed to be a hit.

Over my years of parenting a LEGO lover I've discovered several products that make great gifts.

Hopefully this can be a guide as you shop for your favorite LEGO lover!

Stick around until the end, because I have a GREAT giveaway for you!

{This post contains Amazon affiliate links. I love Amazon because I can shop from home, and with my PRIME membership I have free shipping. I don't go into many stores around the holidays!}

1. LEGO Organizers

My son loves his LEGO bricks.  For my own sanity I've had to convince him that organizing your bricks can be FUN!

Several storage systems are available.  I'll list my three favorites here:

2. LEGO Architecture Sets

Learning with LEGO Architecture is wonderful! Any of these sets will keep your LEGO lover learning and challenged for quite some time!

3.  LEGO Books

My son learned to read with the leveled reader books, many of them with LEGO themes. He also enjoys the character encyclopedias and other big books. I've listed a few of our favorites here:

4. The LEGO Calendar

This is the greatest gift ever! Last year my son would build this calendar the minute he got out of bed on the first day of each month. Awesome!

5. Anything LEGO® Education

I have written many reviews on different LEGO® Education products. I believe anything from LEGO® Education is a wonderful investment in your child's education. Please visit my LEGO Learning page to learn more.

6. LEGO Candy Blocks

These are a great stocking stuffer! I also use them to do LEGO candy math during our homeschool, and also has "motivation" during the day.

They even stack just like the plastic bricks!

7. LEGO Movies

My son LOVES many of the LEGO movies. I like them because they are short and entertaining. There are many, but these are the ones we have watched and are our favorites:

8. Time Telling and Watches

My son has one of the watches and he went through a period where it was never off of his wrist. I've also seen some new (to me) time telling products, which look great for the younger set!

9. PLEYGO Subscription

Pleygo is a new service. It's like the Netflix of LEGO.

We are happily trying out a membership and it's working great. Grant has 10 sets in his queue. One set is mailed to him - he plays with it until he is done, then mails the set back and another is sent.

It's a brilliant idea, really. You can try it out for free if you don't want to take my word for it.

This would be a GREAT Christmas gift for your LEGO lover!

10. LEGO Shoes

Yes, LEGO Shoes! My son had some LEGO tennis shoes that were literally worn OUT.

There you have it - my 10 favorite gifts for LEGO lovers.

Maybe I've just simpliifed Christmas for you?  A little?

My kids love their Lego sets but I think their favorite so far has the been their Lego City sets because they are so versatile. I actually asked them which was their favorite but they said all of them :)

My son's favorite Lego memory is the year we were living in the Philippines. My mom loaded up an entire suitcase of Lego sets the family had purchased him for his birthday, primarily Star Wars, and surprised him by flying in to celebrate his birthday with us in Manila. They spent hours putting sets together while she was there. It was one of his best birthdays ever. :-)

Master Academy Legos

My son loves playing with Lego. We also agree that the City sets are the best because they are so versatile, and we don't get into the licensed characters as much. He also just recently got very interested in the new Chima line. I have to admit that those little animals are super cute. I get pulled in to, and so is Daddy. It's a family affair around here! Pleygo would be amazing.

Favorite LEGO gift he has ever gotten: LEGO Space Police set with the skull twins

My daughter's favorite so far was probably Olivia's House. At least, that's for regular sets. She also has some LEGO Education sets, like the Simple & Motorized Mechanisms set and the LEGO WeDo Robotics set. She loves loves loves those! She wants to build Olivia's House again sometime and try to add robotics/machinery to make people move on their own, the swingset really swing, etc. We just love LEGOs around here! The Pleygo subscription sounds like a really neat idea, to the point where I'm wondering why nobody marketed such an idea before!

My kids' favorite Lego gifts are when dad comes home with 3 mystery packs of minifigs....one for each kid. They actually enjoy playing with all their Lego toys equally, but there is just something special knowing that dad was thinking about them during the middle of his day and decides to surprise them.
