Make Every Day Count - Review and Giveaway!

God has a purpose for our teens!

Make Every Day Count, by Max Lucado, has been an interesting book for me to read. In many ways it has given me a glimpse into the (not so distant) future with my 11 year old daughter.    There are some very real faith issues my sweet girl will be encountering and want to help her be prepared.   This book is going to be a wonderful addition to our library and I know it will become part of her Bible study as she gets older.

From the publisher, Thomas Nelson:

  Make Every Day Count – Teens really do want to make a difference, but sometimes their attitudes get in the way!

*ages 12-17

*Helps impressionable teens learn that their level of gratitude reflects in their attitude

*Teaches how to overcome setbacks and make the most of each day with God’s help

*In a challenging time in life, teens learn perspective and thankfulness

*Helps teens overcome the “it’s all about me” syndrome

Comprised of ten chapters, the book is concise, humorous, and relevant.   There is also a study guide at the back.   This book would be applicable for groups of teens, or a solo study.  Each chapter consists of scripture, a real-world story (these were my favorites!), and application for YOUR teen.

There are simple nuggets of truth interspersed in the chapters as well.   Seemingly simple statements such as:

{Give the grace you've been given.}

{The joy is found in the extra effort.}

{He meets daily needs daily.}

  Feel free to explore the book for yourself:

You can also hear about the book in Max Lucado's own words here.

If you would like to win a copy of this book, simply leave me a comment telling me why you think this book would be beneficial for your pre-teen and/or teenager.   Be sure to leave a contact email where I can reach you if you win!

This giveaway will be open until Saturday, April 6 at midnight.

I was happy to review this book as a Tommy Nelson Mommy.    No compensation was received for this review.  I offered my honest opinion in exchange for this book.

I think this would be a great book for my Katie, even though she is now 20, but I also have at least one other teen that could benefit from it and one more soon to be a teen. I am sure it would be well used here. :)

We are getting close to entering the preteen phase in our house. This book would be a blessing to use with all four of my children as they enter this fun, but challenging stage. Thank you for the great giveaway.
