More Christian Fiction for Middle Grades - Fire Prophet Giveaway
It's a good sign when I open a package from Tommy Nelson, announce it contents, and one of my children disappears with the book! This happened with our current review, Fire Prophet.
When my daughter read Spirit Fighter, she was hoping the next book in the series would come out soon. Her exact words then were: "Spirit Fighter was just like Percy Jackson, but better!"
The next book in the Son of Angels series is out, and Anna liked this book every bit as much as the first.
Fire Prophet is an exciting book that teaches our middle grades children how they can grow closer to God.
In a world where God is largely absent from reading material for this age, I am so happy to have great resources like Fire Prophet from Tommy Nelson!
Parents today are looking for fiction that makes Christianity and the Bible exciting for their kids. This series is the first Christian answer to Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Kane Chronicles, the Secret Series, and other middle grade series packed with adventure, action, and supernatural fights. But the message is solidly scriptural in that God alone is always in control.
To learn more details about the book, you can view the YouTube trailer.
You might also be interested to know the exact thoughts of a very thoughtful 11 year old, who LOVES to read, and whose taste is very discriminating.
"I liked Fire Prophet because it has action in it like Harry Ptter and Percy Jakcson, but it talks about God. It starts when Jonah and Elijah are attacked by fallen angels at school. Then, their parents take them to a convent so they can take lessons on how to fight fallen angels.
I hope ANOTHER book comes out soon! You should read this book! I learned that prayer can solve anything."
You can purchase the book through Tommy Nelson.
You can also enter below to win a copy of your own! To enter, simply leave me a comment telling me what types of books your child(ren) like to read.

I am ordering a copy from Amazon. I meant to the last time you mentioned this series. I need a good book for my own pleasure reading and I love to pass good finds onto my girls! Thank you!
Thank you for doing a giveaway, Mary! This looks good. My kids read a ton, and a different variety. My favorite for them is Christian fiction:)
My daughter isn't old enough to read but my husband and I are huge readers and we want to start collecting books for her and our future kids. I love this type of christian fiction!
My daughter LOVES the Percy Jackson series so this would be a great next read for her!
I am proud to say that my kids enjoy reading...period. They choose a lot of their own selections, but I require non-fiction reading as part of our homeschool science and social studies curricula. The youngest is really into fantasy and graphic novels; the older girl also likes graphic novels.

My boys are both very good readers. It takes a little prodding to get my oldest to read, but when he finds something her likes he can't put it down. Recently my ten year old has read Swiss Family Robinson and Call of the Wild. My younger son loves the Magic Tree House book series . I would love for them to start reading some good Christian fiction.
I have 2 avid readers who LOVE good Christian fiction, though it is NOT easy to find. They will be excited about this series.
They love Elsie Dinsmore, Frank Perreti, Chronicles, Tolkein... and more :-)
Sounds fabulous! My kids are littles and are still in the "read to me" stage, so there is a lot of Elephant and Piggie and Knuffle Bunny love here.
I, however, as a former middle school English teacher, LOVE to read upper elementary and young adult fiction. :)
Thank you for bringing these to our attention. I am always on a search for good reading material for my children. Right now we are reading G.A Henty.
My daughter will read anything she can get her hands on, so I'm trying to steer her toward more Christian books.
My oldest son has been reading since he was three and devours every book he finds. His favorites are fact-filled science books though. My middle son prefers not to read but, when "forced" upon him, enjoys Bernstein bears and Dr.Seuss. And, my youngest is two but seems to be following in her oldest brother's footsteps!
My daughter likes Percy Jackson too. If we won it would be a huge blessing. Thanks for doing this for all of us.
My Cody struggled to read and I finally got him to read Tim Tebows book "Through My Eyes". He has now been reading "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". I would love to win this book. Thanks for the opportunity!
My children are little, so most of what we read are picture books, Dr Suess, and good read alouds. We are currently reading Charlotte's Web aloud - one of my favorite books from childhood!
My oldest loves to read Harry Potter, Percy and others like it.
My son got the Cooper Kids Series for Christmas and is loving them! This book sounds like something he'd enjoy as well.
My children's reading interests seem to be constantly growing since we began homeschooling, which is so exciting for me to see! My oldest only read sports fiction, biographies (mainly of athletes) and non-fiction. He still enjoys those books, but now loves historical fiction and is dabbling in fantasy novels as well! I'd love for him to try this series.
My middle son enjoys sports fiction and funny novels like Harriet the Spy. He is dabbling in the fantasy genre as well as enjoying that!
My daughter enjoys all manner of picture books, and is asking for me to read her some of the American Girl chapter books as well.
Since I have so many kids, there is a wide range if types of books loved around here! But some are historical fiction, sci if, and fantasy.

My daughters love to read the Mandie Series.
My daughter enjoys a variety of reading genres. Currently she is reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy and doing a literature study on it. This book looks like an exciting book plus it is a Christian book!
My daughter is 11 and
