When Homeschooling Isn't Always "Popular"

I've never been one to worry about winning a popularity contest, but I have to admit having approval from those close to me has always been important. After all, I draw a lot of support from my parents and close friends. What they think MATTERS and I want them to be a part of our homeschooling life.
When we made the decision to homeschool it naturally followed that I wanted the approval of those around me. For the most part, I got it, but there were a few stumbling blocks along the way. After doing this for almost two years I've learned a little bit about how to handle myself (and others) when homeschooling isn't always popular! In the beginning I was much more cavalier and brash, and I hope that I have gained more grace and self-control in the past two years.
For what it's worth, here are my tips on how to hold your homeschooling head high and live out Galatians 5:22, even in the face of opposition:
