Mustard Seed Planting - Faith

We are on vacation this week, but I'm taking a few minutes to write about faith, and a verse that has been presenting itself to me often over the past couple of months:
Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
The older I get, the more situations I go through which teach me the importance of this verse - the importance of faith. How do you explain faith to young children? I'm not sure I know the answer to this, but I do believe that if you help them hide God's word in their hearts eventually it sticks. This verse (along with several others about faith) is in our scripture box. It is my hope and prayer that these verses can help my children in times of trial and stress as they get older.
My post today is linked to Rebecca at Mom's Mustard Seeds. She blogs each Wednesday about Mustard Seed Planting, and it really has gotten me thinking about what I do to promote hiding God's word in my children's hearts, as well as my own. What a blessing.

LOVE IT! Thanks for linking up....yes, things unseen.....definitely something to ponder and pray about!
Blessings and happy fun in the sun! Wish I was there, too!
We are having nice weather this week...hope it's still nice when you returns!
Faith is so important to hold on to in our lives. I 100% agree that the way to teach faith to our little ones is to have them hold God's word in their hearts. Once they have it there no one can take it away. Great post and awesome verse!
The blog is very good!
Congratulations!

WOW, Mary. I needed this. I just finished my post before reading this. How ironic that you posted on Faith, and gave me just the message I needed. Thank you!
I like that verse too. I have to remember that verse that says "We walk by faith, not by sight." That's exactly what it's all about!
