Refresh and Have Faith

 

After a most challenging start to 2015, I feel like I got to catch my breath and just RELAX a bit last weekend at the Refresh Homeschool Moms' retreat in Birmingham, AL.

I did have to lead two sessions during the retreat, but that didn't feel like work - it actually was a tremendous blessing to share with moms and also LEARN from moms in return. 

The above picture is me (sitting on the porch at the Ross Bridge Resort) - after I had just finished journaling, reading, and napping. Ahhhh.  BLISS.

VeggieTales: Noah's Ark Giveaway

 

You're never too old for VeggieTales!

My 13 year old was telling me just this week that her youth group had requested a VeggieTales marathon for an upcoming lock-in.

It seems that whenever we turn on Veggie Tales, everyone in our family is singing, laughing, and - most importantly - digging just a little deeper into much loved stories from God's Word.

Cycle 3 Music Resources & Free Listening Lesson

 

The time is approaching for us to begin music studies in Cycle 3.

(This is my favorite time of the year!)

I realize, however, that teaching music inspires FEAR in many moms. 

Hopefully this post and the accompanying free resource can alleviate some of your fears and equip you to teach your children about the orchestra and the finer points of music appreciation in Cycle 3.
