Collage Friday - Surprises on Spring Break

 There were so many wonderful surprises this past week. One surprise was expected and the other was unexpected.

The unexpected was a package I received Monday. You see, I had been feeling a bit of criticism from a couple of different sources. My husband and I had taken a long walk Sunday afternoon (just the two of us) and both agreed we were suffering from Plom's Disease:  Poor Little Old Me. My husband talks with the kids about this disease all the time, but this time it was affecting us.

Collage Friday - Books, LEGOS, and Endings/Beginnings

Do you have a reader in your house?

I have been blessed with the gift of a daughter who LOVES to read. A trip to the used bookstore, library, or any sale that has books is heaven for her.

She reads and then REREADS books. She takes a good friend at our church bags of books when she is finished with them. Her friend brings them back just a couple of weeks later and they talk about them.

How many kids do this? I think it's awesome!

Collage Friday - Poetry, Pastels, and Purging

 This week was a little tough getting back in the swing of things after a wonderful trip to The Great Homeschool Convention in Greenville, SC.

I'm so thankful my husband's back is improving - he was able to come with us!  We had a relaxing change of pace for three days.  

I am planning a post for next week to tell you about some very helpful things I learned, but for now I would just like to encourage you to attend a homeschool convention if you get the chance.
