It was a GREAT summer. Miss B and GMan each took swimming and diving lessons. We have been with the same wonderful teacher for three years. She believes teaching children to swim is her ministry, and she is RIGHT!
GMan perfected his strokes this summer, while Miss B loved being on the synchronized swimming team for her third year. It developed discipline, endurance, and character in my children. It inspired my daughter to want to join a local swim team this fall.
Last Friday night the children performed in a swim show. Each child in the regular swim classes went to the diving board, stated their name, age, and what stroke they would swim. Then, they swam a length of the pool and received a medal. The atmosphere was supportive and fun, which is perfect, especially for younger children. Miss B's synchronized swim team performed accompanied by two Steven Curtis Chapman songs - The Invitation and Dive. I'm including the link to these songs for you, because they are favorites in our house - and if you take the time to really listen I know you will love them, too.
They also just had lots of FUN with friends swimming this summer. We made so many good memories!
I love it that I have two little fish in my house.... maybe we'll be having school by the pool until the weather gets too cold!
